Danish Uniforms in the Battle of Helsingborg

At the time of the battle of Helsingborg the main part of the Danish army was still dressed in light grey coats. The red colour was reserved for the high status regiments and it was not until the following year a Royal regulation declared that the entire army was to be dressed in red coats. Apart from red and grey coats of cloth the cavalry also had buff coats which they would wear in battle (together with a cuirass).

On the whole there are however many uncertainties and I have for those who want more detailed information separate  pages about the Danish infantry and the Danish cavalry.
